The Heat kept their pick and took Beasley, the scoring machine that will likely signal the departure of Shawn Marion from South Florida — if Miami can find anyone to take the Matrix and his $18 million salary. Maybe these two can co-exist on the same baseline, but it’s a little hard to imagine.
We expect O.J. Mayo to go to Minnesota next, and that would negate the proposed Seattle-Los Angeles trade that would have moved the Clippers up to the No. 4 pick.
